Amit Bapna has written for global publication The Drum since 2020, deep-diving into trends in marketing, branding, and advertising for the Asian markets. He served as Editor-at-large (APAC) there until October 2025 and is now a roving writer. Previously, he was a senior editorial member of The Economic Times, a leading Indian business newspaper.
His coverage has been around the fast-changing consumer landscape of the Asian markets. He is also a visiting faculty at various Media schools and Business Schools.
He describes himself as someone who studied marketing, then worked as a marketer, and now writes and teaches around trends in marketing.
Amit has graduated in Science from St Stephen’s College, Delhi and holds an MBA in Marketing from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
