MMA Research and Metrics Committee  
During its July 8th meeting, the MMA Research and Metrics Committee decided to prioritize three research initiatives:
  1. Mobile marketing channel effectiveness
  2. Consumer engagement
  3. Market development
 

Initial organizational conference calls for two of these initiative task forces have been scheduled as follows:

Mobile Marketing Effectiveness:
Wednesday, August 26th 11 AM Eastern Time
Consumer Engagement: Wednesday, August 26th 12 PM Eastern Time

MMA and Research Partners Luth Research released findings of their June 2009 study on wireless phone users with text or web access capabilities.  Of those who completed the online poll, 64% said their phone was equipped with the ability to access the Internet, and close to half (43%) said they use it. The study investigates the activities preferred by these Internet savvy mobile users, and how these activities vary by key demographic and mobile-relevant variables, like age, ethnicity, or carrier.   See the full report
