Saranathan Ramaswamy (‘Sara’) has been with P&G for the past 20 years with experience in leading various roles in sales, marketing, and general management across different countries. Sara has taken the role of the new President Director of P&G Indonesia.
Sara, an Indian Institute of Management (IIM Calcutta) alumnus, joined P&G in 2002 as a Key Account Manager in Bangalore, India. In 2019, Sara was Country Manager for P&G Gulf Markets in Dubai. Before being appointed President Director of P&G Indonesia, he served as Vice President & Executive Head of Sales, P&G India. With his proven track record in delivering a brilliant performance amidst intense competition and market disruption, P&G believes that Sara is going to lead the company towards its next chapter of growth in Indonesia, continuing to unlock the country’s potential as one of the leading markets in all major categories in which P&G competes globally.
As the new President Director of P&G Indonesia, Sara believes that Indonesia holds a vast and great potential for the global market. Therefore, it is crucial to stay abreast of Indonesian cultures, daily life and problems, and to provide superior quality daily use products that can help improve their lives. Moreover, Sara wants to continue P&G's imperative role as a force for good and a force for growth, and to contribute to the communities and environments in which P&G operates.
To achieve that, Sara believes that building the future leaders of P&G Indonesia is of utmost importance. He aims to continue building P&G Indonesia as an inclusive workplace, where people have a sense of trust that they work in the right organization and could thrive by being their best authentic selves.
Sara consistently applies the Golden Circle as his guiding principle professionally. He believes that having the clarity and courage to take responsibility helps him to develop a more structured perspective towards solving problems. Outside of work, Sara is an avid reader and has a keen interest in fitness and sports, particularly badminton. He loves to spend time with his wife and two children.
