Marco Botero serves as Senior Managing Director at xAI for Canada and Latin America. In this role, he plays a pivotal part in guiding product development, content strategy, and audience engagement for X, while directly overseeing revenue growth initiatives. He also leads and mentors distributed teams across Toronto, Miami, Mexico, Brazil, and additional markets in Latin America.
With more than 20 years of global experience in the media and tech sectors, Marco is a seasoned expert in research, content distribution, and advertising sales across diverse platforms. Known for his innovative mindset, strong focus on team building and talent retention, cost efficiency, and unwavering emphasis on trust and transparency.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Marco has pursued advanced coursework at leading institutions like Oxford and MIT, complementing his foundational degrees. Outside of work, he is a former collegiate soccer player who stays highly active. He is currently tackling the Seven Summits challenge, with successful ascents of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua already achieved, and has recently earned his PADI Master Scuba Diver certification
