Kannan is Co-founder and Partner at Fireside Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in the early-stage consumer space.
Prior to Fireside, Kannan has spent over 3 decades running diverse FMCG businesses including personal care, food and beverage, health care, and home care.
He has held senior leadership positions including National Sales Head and Marketing Head at Hindustan Lever, VP Corporate Strategy at Unilever, Chief Operating Officer at Dabur, CEO of Innovative Foods and Operating Partner, India Equity Partners.
He has led Fireside’s investments in several companies including MamaEarth, YogaBar, Kapiva and Wellbeing Nutrition and presently represents Fireside on the boards of Traya, Inito, Ripplr, Sweet Karam Coffee, Cuminco and Smytten.
Kannan is a graduate of IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad.
