James Fearn's agency career spans over 20 years, taking in 8 different agencies, 3 holding companies, 4 countries and countless brands.

He started in the UK, spending his early years working in multi-client roles before taking on bigger brands such as BSkyB, Honda and Oracle.

There followed a move to Sydney, Australia where James lead planning for Nestle before taking on leadership of the full portfolio of News Ltd brands in the market - both print and digital. Returning to the UK with a new wife, he promptly moved again to the US where, over the course of 4 years, he led various local and global businesses including Microsoft, BlackBerry, Yahoo! and King.

Returning again to the UK (this time with twins), James built and lead a department of global, regional and multi-market clients at Publicis Media before switching to GroupM to lead the global Adidas and Reebok businesses.

Most recently, in early 2024, James made the move to Ho Chi Minh City, finding the combined lure of Mindshare, Unilever and the dynamism of SEA impossible to resist. For the past 4 months, he has been Managing Partner at Mindshare, leading the Unilever business in Vietnam and their Personal Care business across SEA.
