Mr. Tiwary spent nine years at Amazon, of which for four years he was the Country Head for Amazon India. His leadership during this period established Amazon as a household name, fundamentally changing how consumers engaged with online shopping in India. This experience honed his skills in navigating complex markets and understanding consumer behavior.
Mr. Tiwary's career began at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), where he dedicated two decades to roles across sales, marketing, and IT. During his tenure at HUL, he led iconic brands such as Axe, Rexona, Vaseline, and Sunsilk, showcasing his ability to connect with consumers and create lasting brand loyalty. His pioneering efforts in the Modern Trade business and his dual roles as CIO and Head of Sales exemplifies his versatility and strategic acumen. He eventually ascended to the role of Sales Head for South Asia and was on the Management Committee of HUL, influencing key decisions that shaped the company's trajectory. Following this, Mr. Tiwary took on the role of Managing Director for the MENA region, based in Dubai, where he was responsible for overseeing operations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and North Africa. This experience further broadened his understanding of diverse markets and enriched his leadership capabilities.
An alumnus of prestigious institutions including St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, BIT Mesra, IIM Bangalore, and IMD, Mr. Tiwary's academic credentials reflect his dedication to continuous learning and growth.
