As President of the Saudi Arabian Rugby Federation, Ali built the federation from the ground up, making rugby one of the fastest-growing school sports in Saudi Arabia. He secured an agreement with the Ministry of Education to include rugby as an elective sport and established a Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE and Qatar to strengthen the GCC rugby ecosystem. Under his leadership, Saudi’s men’s team has risen from last place in their first Arab Sevens to a potential medal contender, while the national women’s and under-18 teams have also been successfully launched.
