Prior to this he spent almost 7 years in a global Business Development role with Inter IKEA Systems BV (the owner and global franchisor of the IKEA brand) in Delft, Netherlands.
Formerly Mark was Head of International Operations at MFI; then the UK’s leading home furnishing retailer where he developed and deployed the company’s International franchise business model in multiple markets. Mark started his 22 year career with MFI as Store Manager eventually running three of the highest turnover store in the UK. He also developed his career in the roles of Category Manager & Area Sales Manager where he was responsible for one tenth of the companies 224 stores.
Masters Degree in Retail Management from Manchester University; majoring in International Franchising in 1996
