Dealing in proof
About MMA’s CMO + CEO Summit
For more than a decade, the Marketing + Media Alliance has been running multi-year, multi-brand experiments through its Think Tanks and Labs to validate what actually works in marketing. Not panels. Not ‘opinions.’ Not storytelling. Repeatable, financially defensible, and future-thinking frameworks, built across dozens of brands. The Summit is the one time each year that the body of work is unveiled in a single room – closed-door, no press – by the CMOs who validated (or invalidated) the thesis.
The CMOs presenting this work are the ones who ran it: AT&T, Campbell’s, Mazda, Intuit, Indeed, GM, Home Depot, Pernod Ricard, Kroger, Reddit, Brunswick, Choice Hotels. The format is built around peer conversation among them, not stage performance – which is why the Summit carries an 86 net promoter score from past attendees.
In marketing, value accrues to whoever moves first on what’s proven. Once a framework becomes common knowledge, the edge is gone. The CMOs in this room will be operating on validated and proven concepts, the rest of the market won’t catch up for years!
The Marketing + Media Alliance’s only agenda is to lift the stature and gravitas of CMOs – and to advance how marketing actually drives the business.
Request an invitation to the 2027 Summit and join the room where marketing’s next chapter is being written.

What we proved, by the CMOs who proved it.
Five claims, measured well enough to change spending decisions. Open any claim for the finding, the quote, and its proof status.
In a 550,000-household experiment, favorable prospects joined at twice the rate. A balanced brand-then-offer sequence transacted at 2x a pure offer schedule and cut cost per incremental conversion by a third.
Learn more“Leading with the offer too early, and too often, measurably damaged long-term results.”Scott Hause · VP Research, Analytics and Insights, AT&T
Awareness of Intuit raised QuickBooks conversion. Knowing Intuit is the parent raised it further, and the effect was largest among prospects with no existing relationship.
Learn more“Parent and product brands complement each other. They do not cannibalize.”Christine Chu · Director of Research & Analytics, Intuit
High Movable Middles converted at 3x and delivered 3x dollars per household, while the low group performed at roughly general population.
Learn more“Campbell’s tested its own hypothesis and was wrong. The high Movable Middles delivered 3x dollars per household.”Jill Pratt · SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Campbell’s
Average lift across the portfolio came in near 160% over roughly 29 experiments run by Indeed, Choice Hotels, Travelers, Uber and Grand Canyon Education.
Learn more“AI cannot optimize choices it was never given. Creative variation is the binding constraint.”Carmen Graf · Global VP, Marketing, Indeed
Trained on a full year of live campaign data, the model predicts e-commerce conversion at 81% accuracy before a media dollar is spent. Assets following the 23 validated guidelines convert at 4x.
Learn more“Create nothing new. Change no media. Reallocate to high-scoring assets and conversions double.”Kay Vizon · Media Director, Kroger
