Outside Lands Festival Case Study (Textopoly)

PROJECT

Outside Lands Music Festival at Golden Gate Park from August 22nd – 24th 2008

OBJECTIVE

Enable festival attendees to search for artist lineup, location details and timing while at the event

OVERVIEW

Textopoly conceived, implemented and launched a strategic SMS campaign which allowed attendees to search for artist lineup, location details and timing while at the event from their mobile phones! The user received artist lineup, stage information, location, and timing information via text. Users text in “5pm” on a the first day of this three-day event, and the platform recognized the date, and sent back the schedule for 5pm on August 22nd. If the user would text “5pm” on day 2, then our system would send back the correct schedule for August 23rd. This adaptive technology showed to be efficient, effective, and flawless!
