Hawkins is the Director of VNGGames Publishing Platform. He joined the company in 2022 to advise on its investment-led strategy to invest into and acquire gaming content. He now leads the division’s publishing platform focused on providing the best technology to players and developers for over 80 titles published in Vietnam and globally.

Before transitioning into operations, he was an investment professional at a Vietnam-based private equity fund, Mekong Capital, where he led a US$15 Million investment into Gene Solutions, a market leader in genetic testing for reproductive health and a pioneer in cancer diagnostics. He also represented the firm’s investment into a multi-chain F&B business and a cold chain business with nationwide logistics coverage including trucking and cold storage. He previously founded ASEAN Capital, a boutique investment advisory firm, advising early-stage Vietnamese companies in raising growth capital. His clients included Pharmacity, a modern retail pharmacy chain, as well as Pilmico, the agriculture subsidiary of the Aboitiz Group, a leading conglomerate from the Philippines. Prior to ASEAN Capital, he was the Head of Advisory for Indochina Capital’s Investment Banking division and formerly the Head of Investor Relations for the group’s real estate fund management division. He has completed over US$250 million in M&A and private placements in Vietnam with a broad range of sector coverage in consumer-oriented businesses.

He received his B.S. from New York University and his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
