Mobile Commerce

MOBILE COMMERCE COMMITTEE

The Mobile Commerce Committee is chartered with developing best practices and guidelines in regards to mobile commerce initiatives. The ultimate goal of the committee is to, eventually, enable a simple, consistent and compatible consumer experiences across all carriers. The committee will establish balanced guidelines that encourage brand, retail and media adoption to drive consumption.

The goal of the committee will be to establish a consortium with the carriers to provide fair mobile commerce with high quality controls for all players in the ecosystem.

Mobile Commerce is supported by the following sub-committees:

Definition of Mobile Commerce (May 2010)

The definition and scope of Mobile Commerce as defined by the Mobile Commerce committee.

Mobile Banking Overview (January 2009)*
An introduction to mobile banking across five primary mobile channels with advantages and disadvantages of each; SMS, Mobile Client Applications, Mobile Internet and two hybrids, WAP Push and Secure SMS.

 

Introduction to Mobile Coupons (September 2007)*
An introduction to launch and process mobile couponing campaigns efficiently.
