MMA ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF 2010 AWARDS PROGRAM

MMA’s annual Awards program acknowledges the industry’s best and brightest – submit your nominations today!

Nominations for the 2010 MMA Awards are now open!  Each year, the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) honors leaders and innovators in the mobile marketing industry for their commitment to driving the industry forward. As the mobile marketing industry’s highest honor, the MMA Awards recognize companies and their campaigns for spearheading the adoption of the mobile channel for marketing purposes.

Deadline to submit your nominations is August 20.

Call for Judges:  The MMA Awards Selection Committee is comprised of a who’s who of the wireless industry.  Judges bring with them unparalleled expertise and a commitment to advancing the use of the mobile channel.  If you would like to be considered as a judge, please send an email communicating your interest and a brief bio to awards@mmaglobal.com.

Featured Case Study: Ice.com and Microsoft Mobile Advertising

Ice.com is a leading online jeweler that has been satisfying customers with diamond, pearl and gemstone jewelry since 1999.

Campaign Objectives:
Ice.com taps Microsoft Mobile Advertising to drive cost efficient sales leads around Mother’s Day.

Execution and Use of Media:
In response to Ice.com’s objectives, Microsoft Mobile Advertising developed a performance based media campaign that drove users to the brands mobile web site. The mobile site, built by Microsoft, allowed consumers to view the Top 10 Mother’s Day Gifts, Call Ice.com, Subscribe to Ice.com and Send the link to a friend.

Results:
Microsoft Mobile drove huge volume during the 12 day campaign, delivering over 100,000 clicks to the Ice.com Mobile Web site.
