Khairul Akbar has spent more than twenty years in the industry and is still in it. After stints at McCann and Dentsu, he co-founded Popcult, an independent agency that has run for over a decade, and Brave & Company, Indonesia's first real network of independent agencies, now eight specialized shops and 40+ people, where owners actually own and make decisions. He's picked up his share of creative awards (yes, judged by humans), MMAs included. After this long in the business, he's less interested in who gets credit and more interested in what gets built.
