Peer Mentoring Webinar Series
  • The North America Women in Wireless committee started a Peer Mentoring Webinar Series. The first webinar was held on media relations/ public speaking and the second was an introduction to Mobile Banking. See below for the webinar recording:   http://drop.io/wiwmentoring
 
Amber Alerts
  • The MMA has partnered with The Wireless Foundation’s Wireless AMBER Alerts program to raise awareness of this initiative throughout the wireless industry.  The Wireless AMBER Alerts initiative is a free public service that allows wireless subscribers to opt in to receive Wireless AMBER Alerts as text messages on their mobile phones.  Subscribers can opt in to the program in two ways:
  • Most wireless subscribers can send the word “AMBER” followed by a space and their 5-digit ZIP Code to 26237
  • Sign up on online at www.wirelessamberalters.org 
  • Enter your 10-digit mobile number and select the area(s) that you want to receive AMBER Alerts.
