Description
SmartReply is the largest provider of PCI & HIPPA compliant voice messaging and mobile marketing services (cell phone text messaging, couponing, alerts, reminders) to retailers, grocers, healthcare providers, insurance companies, financial services, and leading direct marketing agencies.

This position is the company’s key mobile sales and partnership development role. In this role, the selected individual will be in a mobile sales leadership position and one of the company’s mobile Subject Matter Experts (SME).
 
The Vice President of Business Development, Mobile Solutions will be a proven industry leader and directly responsible for the overall sales and revenue growth of SmartReply’s mobile solutions. This position’s primary responsibilities are focused on the following three (3) key revenue areas:
 
1.     Individual Mobile sales quota – prospect and close new clients directly for SmartReply solutions. Annual individual quota objectives are managed and commissioned on a quarterly basis based on individual performance.
 
2.     Overall Company Mobile sales quota – support, train, and review sales prospect portfolio and existing client account management teams cross-sell opportunities. Commission override on achieving company quota on new mobile sales distributed in quarterly amounts based on company performance.
 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
 
a.     Train sales staff to accelerate mobile sales cycle and maximize new client acquisition.
b.     Train client account managers on all mobile products; strategize on current accounts for cross sell growth.
c.     Act as mobile subject matter expert to Sales & account team and assist as needed in selling efforts including pre-sales preparation, conference calls, RFP’s, proposals and on-site prospect and client presentations
 
3.     Mobile Business Development sales quota – develop and acquire partnerships aligned with company’s corporate objectives, whereby partner is selling and offering SmartReply solutions to their customer base as part of the partner’s offering/package, both inside and expanding outside of the core areas where SmartReply currently markets. Commission paid on partnership mobile sales quota distributed in quarterly amounts based on individual performance.
 
Qualifications
      Industry Experience Required
      Experience in the mobile and wireless industry, with relationships throughout, including: major carriers, leading handset manufacturers, messaging aggregators, marketers and industry associations.
      Demonstrated leadership in mobile: experience serving on boards, committees, and working groups where the standards and future of mobile is discussed and decided
      Familiarity with voice messaging and interactive voice response (IVR) systems is a plus.
      Proven skills (above) and documented industry experience (above)
      5+ years in senior sales role, selling enterprise solutions to VP, CMO, and CEO.
      3+ years in mobile industry.
      Bachelors required, MBA preferred.
      Must be an “A” player with excellent presentation, selling and relationship skills.
 
Compensation:
      Competitive Base Salary
      Performance commission paid quarterly on individual mobile sales
      Performance commission paid quarterly on company mobile sales
      Performance commission paid quarterly on partnership mobile sales
      Annual performance bonus for achieving annual goal of company mobile sales goal
      Annual performance bonus for company achieving annual total revenue goal.
