JOB DESCRIPTION:



If you wake up in the morning thinking that you could unlock the secrets of the universe with the right data, this could be the job for you. We have heaps of data and statistics flowing in from our user generated content site MOSH for both mobile and PC based users, and we need to mine and interpret this data. We want to know what they are doing, where they are doing it, and how we can take advantage of these behaviors to deliver a even better service. You will be responsible for leading the information systems development for MOSH, through translating the objectives of stakeholders and business owners into actionable programs. You will define the functional requirements, select information systems partners, and manage the implementation of these systems. You will provide ongoing updates on data, statistics, reporting to the stakeholders in MOSH. This is where a desire to be creative, understand the underlying business of MOSH, and having the insight into eliciting trends, behaviors is paramount.

QUALIFICATIONS:



To grasp this exciting opportunity, you have a Masters or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Business Management or the equivalent skills. This is combined with at least five years of relevant experience, in which time you have gained a good working knowledge of relational and OLAP database reporting, including development, development support and production support. It will also be beneficial if you have practical experience of reporting GUI environments, such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Hitbox, and Cognos. Furthermore, you have a sound basic knowledge of scripting languages. It will also add an edge to your application if you are familiar with reporting from common OLAP data sources. Finally, you master the ability to communicate the analyzed data from a business perspective in a clear and structured way to various MOSH stakeholders. A good business understanding and the ability to develop expertise in new fields quickly is essential.
