Proteus, Business Development Coordinator
Proteus, a leading provider of mobile marketing products and solutions, is seeking an enthusiastic new member for the Business Development Team at the company headquarters in Arlington, VA.
As the Business Development Coordinator - Media Services you will be assisting in all new media-related business development efforts at Proteus. You will write proposals, deliver presentations and negotiate deals with the biggest media brands in the world, as well as perform research and keep senior management updated on mobile industry developments. The ability to identify and execute on opportunities which complement team goals and drive financial results is paramount. You are looking to build a career in new media and see this role as a great way to start that career.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business development activities including proposal writing, pitch presentations, researching, contract negotiation and closing deals
- Development of department reports, analyses and updates
- Conduct competitive research/analysis, and maintain database of competitive intelligence including research on the features, functionality, business models and best practices across the mobile landscape
- Assist in the development of new media and entertainment partnerships
- Assist in project management of projects assigned to business development team
- Schedule and organize meetings
- Occasional travel to visit clients
- Ensure clients and other employees are handled in a professional and courteous manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills; carefully proofs own work
- Excellent analytical capabilities with a strong facility with numbers
- Ability to interface well with all departments and employees of the company
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent presentation skills; must be comfortable presenting to the Senior Management Team in a highly professional manner
- High degree of comfort in a changing environment
- A keen interest in media, mobile and the entertainment industry is a must
- 4-year Bachelors Degree
